This month, many releases to buy. The dvd has two part. Bonus one is songs recorded in february 2003 at Shibuya Kokaido in Tokyo.The image is quiet good but not tip top. Some interviews of each menber between songs. The main part is the Anaheim show for "Resurection tour" in room not completely full. "Painkiller" open the show.A song from Judas Priest, why not? A killer song but better to open with Halford solo's song? Well, the music is heavy , very heavy "into the pit" ( from Fight ) to stuff more soft "never Satisfied" or Judas ' hit "Breaking the law"...The light show is standard with basic effects. Well, i am not a big fan of Halford solo career and i prefer to watch Haflord in Judas priest.
If u like Hammerfall, get their release with 151 minutes of show & behind the scene ( quiet short but nice to have a look of the place). The band captured live in performance at Dalhalla, one of the most spectacular open air venue in central Sweden ( The quarry is 60 metres deep, 400 metres long and 175 metres wide. The open air theater was opened in 1995 and currently has 4000 seats. The acoustical qualities are comparable to the best outdoor stages in Europe ).So u get it, the stage & the place are beautiful with a marshall wall ( almost 80),fire, lights ....Hammerfall's logo in steel. Songs from every album are represented. Some special guests are invited like ex-Hammerfall guitarist Stefan Elmgren, Dark Tranquillity vocalist Mikael Stanne.. Roger Pontare on " När Vindarna Viskar Mitt Namn ".The sound is very good & clear.People are very excited "let the hammer fall" but the bleachers are not full which is incridible for such a nice place.Great moments like "fortuna" , the beautiful "glory to the brave" and the power "hammerfall" ( with big chorus) without forget the lively "hearts of fire" for an excellent final with all the guests on stage.
For main feature u have a documentary in english but with japanese subtitle about the band and their last album "crimson thunder" and producer Charlie B.U have interview of all menbers, report in the sutio, many things , sometimes funny etc....i mostly buy the dvd for the promo videos hearts of fire" or "bloood bound" or live TV clips (some have a bad sound) but nice to see "the fire burns forever" in Goteborg 2006......Live songs in germany with a frozen stage ...really true metal arghhhh ! To sum up, many things so u can get it.
First, this dvd is code free. Good, u can bought outside France for a better price ( i paid 13 euros).U will have a show at Firefest Iv ( remenber Valentine), the moodswings tour from 94, videos 97 tour clips;
The Wilson sisters are back for to play their legendary album in live entirety and go to perform some bonus classic cover versions ( Led Zep...to Pink Flyod).The show recorded april 17, 2007 at the Orpheum Theater Los Angeles.The stage and the theater are nice, good image and great voice.U have also very short bonus about footage, interviews in the street,rehersals.....some photos ( old pictures where it's not very good to get old, mostly when u were a pretty woman).
Really nice dvd from Heaven & hell with a dvd with a menu and a really good TV quality (thanks from WDR).Here it's the line-up: Ronnie James Dio - vocals-Tony Iommi - guitar- Geezer Butler - bass- Vinny Appice - drums.The concert is quiet long with 84 mn: E5150/ The Mob Rules/ I/ Bible Black/ Time Machine/ Drum Solo/ Fear/ Falling Off The Edge Of The World/ Follow The Tears/ Die Young/ Heaven And Hell/ Neon Knights. The stage is correct, not so many lights ( it's during the day) but a screen at the rear of the stage( with the cover of the last album) and some chains.....Just one thing, the audience looks so quiet..........Nice shot !
What the hell is that ? Heaven & Hell.....a nice name , isn't it ? The dvd is very good, the image is very clear even if the room is dark, nice job, the lights never dazzle the musicians,, if u bought already the cd and u like it, u can buy this one without problem..
If u buy the special digipack , u will get a nice but short ( 31 mn) DVD of interviews ( here just subtitle in japanese).It could be nice to get the video of the jazzy "dr stein"........but it's just a bonus.So don't buy this special edition it if u expect too much.
