DVD from Sanctuary/ Noise must be a pro one, isn't it? Indeed, it is. Commentary with english's subtitle. Good quality image. Set list for fans of gamma ray and helloween ( medley with "iwant ou/ futur world/ride the sky).Ralf Scheepers don't move too much (the scene is not to big). If u like german heavy metal, u we'll like this concert.
I don't listen anymore Gary Moore except on dvd.He takes young musicians ( Lewis from Skunk Anasie and Darrin Mooney from Primal scream) which give a fresh sound. Guitar still goes on during all the concert.Better if the other musicians help him by singing little bit.....there is a lake. The sound is good and is in Dolby 5.1.
Recorded at the Kings Hall, Belfast (Northern Ireland ) in March 9th 1989.The image is in 4:3 and sound in stereo. The image and the sound are very correct for and old show ( a show of 70 mn ).The music is more hard than at the end of his career ( RIP).The style of the video will satisfied fans cause cam' don't move too much at that time.Same for a set list quiet pleasant : "after the war" , "over the hills.." , the superb ballad " empty room" or " parisienne walkways" ( a classic of its kind ) plus two bonus songs recorded live at ECT TV 1985 (with Phil Lynott): "Out in the fields" ( a really nice song) and"Military Man" with a really nice stage.
Recorded live at Town & Country club, London 1992. Good point, this dvd is region All but the image in 4:3.The image is good but not beautiful. The stage is quiet small ( not easy to move when u have women for backing vocals, musicians for trumpet, saxophones, keyboards.....and the audience has comfortably seats around tables. U will understand, the theme of this evening is the blues, with a very good sound ( still excting to hear the intro of "still got the blues"). U will also one " big" guest ( in green suit ...no, it's not "Shrek ") with BB King on " since i met u baby" and "the thrill is gone".
Official dvd of 54 mn of old band Girlschool ( since 1978) , filmed in London '84.Nothing to say about the quality, very good image for that archives. Good work mates ! Here is the line up : Kim McCauliffe - Guitar,Vocal, Griss Bonacci - Lead Guitar, Gil, Weston-Jones - Bass,, Jackie Bodimead - Keyboards,Vocal, Denise Dufort - Drums.About the set list, some songs are really better than other ones " c'mon let's go", "nowhere to run".....About bonus, just a live photo gallery.
If u like this rock band from Japan, i suggest u this DVD. Good sound, nice videos "Track 8"...
Live at Pennsylvania Wilkes Barre arena in April 2004 is a good show. Of course, u have to like modern metal. But the music suit to live show . The sound is in stereo or 5.1.The image is good and many cameras shot the show ( and did a nice work).I bought the japanese edition so the subtitle are in japanese. No many bonus except a photo gallery ( photos from or before the show).U can select all scene selection: tour bus, rehersals, interview etc......a very good idea.
Famous rock hard band in USA ( make music for big movie such as Transformer ), u can watch this outdoor show ( maybe a festival ?).The show doesn"t swear rock n roll, guys just play, no enthusiasm. I am boring at times, mostly by the singer quiet flat singing ( yes i know it's not the war song of Manowar). The show is not very bad just nice enough.....but we are no more in the 80's and we have the choice between so many shows to get.
Recorded in 2000 in Lagano, the 31 th, december 1999 in an outdoor festival. Even cold temperature, the band is energic and very professional ( total respect).A show recorded by SF2 TV by many cameras with many different views, good result. The sound is good ( u hear all the intsruments), the light show could be better and stage little bit huge. Nonetheless, this show deserves to be in ur collection.
