New dvd from Gilbert. First, u have a nice intro with Gilbert in japanese samourai. The rest is some lessons, guitar techniques, details about his picking and phrasing..... ( it's well done ...in english).U choose the song from the album and can get the performance or tapping intro or arpeggios.....U have 3 bonus live songs with "potato head", "viking kong" and "technical difficulties" in Seoul during the space ship one tour ( a bootleg with one cam from left side, Paul try to speak Korean successfully ). I fu put the dvd in ur computer , u can get some mp3 and tablatures files in PDF.
Nice digipack with a small booklet where u can see live pictures of musicians. The dvd is zone all . U will get two dvd's. First one, it's a live show of 20 th anniversary of the band in Karlsruhe in 2009 ( 1H30).The set list is substantial "children of the dawn", the excellent "seas of madness", "keep ur eyes on the twisted", "welcome the night "...the image and the sound in 5.1 are very good. Fans should be satisfied. U have also interviews & bacstage about the early years ( also with david Readman) to the present. U have also bonus songs from the das festival in 2007 ( one more time with a good image but short 14 mn).For the second dvd, u will get many stuff. The "Size it up " videos in Kawasaki ( available since a long time in japanese import) in 2.0 but with Andi deris on vocals, a show quiet energetic.If u like videos u can also watch all of them since 90 til 98 but the quality is not there such as "one step inti paradise" (from tele 5).Anyway, they are so so except "shame".To end that dvd, u have a short show at "Masters of rock" in czech Repiblic in 2007 for 25 mn.The sound is dynamic and clear. Good stuff....and very complete.
Well, it's an open air festival ( open for KISS), during the day, so not easy for a band such as Poison ( no tricks for the shows). But Bret is killing, a true show man, open the show with a song from their first album "look what the cat dragged in" but with a vibe really more energetic. I need to advise u this show is a bootleg with only one cam', with a low sound but the image is correct and it's filmed in the middle of the stage ( even far , the mate has a good zoom). One day , u will have this show in good quality 'cause many official cameras shot the concert.
TV show from MTV. Nice show but i prefer to see Poison in action.
That dvd has a menu. Begins with the video clip from 89 "rock n roll" ( very glam style, really good, looks like Poison).After u have interviews, live performances ( not very good quality) or other videos. A dvd quiet short with a low quality to my mind.Really hard to think it's official.
Hum....it's a pity, that dvd should be a good one but the image is horrible (bad transfer).I have to check for a better one in Japan;Nontheless, it will give u a good taste of PBF's show "rock n roll outlaws". Many cameras capture the vibe of this show...........could be great for fans.
