Guitar Expo' 92 Spain- Nuno, Satriani, May ... ( Tv show) :
It's a good surprise. The show begins with Joe satriani with "stach boggie", follows by the famous "surfing with aliens".....or the soft "always with me always with u" and his lovely tune.........U will appreciate Brian May with Satirani or Vai, see Nuno on "more than words" ( in acoustic with Gary on vocals).....Many guests for the expo'92, a very good show, many cam' and a good sound. I recommend u that dvd.
Live at Super Rock Festival 1984 : Hum.....so lucky these japanese! Most of the festivals come from their country. One more to have for the quality.
Salyer-still reigning 2004 : 11/07/04, Slayer gave a concert with Dave Lombardo to give a killer gig for a killer set list, the set list of "Reign in Blood", album issued in 1984. U can still heabangs in watching "angel of death" or "raining blood". No subtitle but many bonus: live & interviews. Still reigning..............666
Sammy Hagar- Cabo wabo ( 2001) : Hum....before the show, Sammy will eplain u how to make a good pro Tequilla ! enjoy it ! ( remind me "La cantina " bar in Mexico....and headache). The show is full, the audience exciting, the show is in a very nice theater ( u have also some people at the rear of the stage....first time i see that ?!?).All the songs have subtitle ( that's really good), Sammy always smiles ( just come back from the beach ?), the image has no big flaws, the dolby is good ( maybe the voice of Sammy is mix too much up but i like that way).This dvd is full, look at the set list and u have also bonus.Like u can read, it's an unforgettable evening of hagar and three decades of Rock n roll.........
Sammy Hagar-the long road to Cabo (2003) : Two dvd's in a red digipack ( without booklet). It's a product for all fans of Sammy, about his 2002 summer tour, over three hundred hours of material was shot to make this dvd.So u have behind the scene, live performances, interview but no subtitle even in english ( ????) of all the musicians.The joy is the motto of this dvd.Funny to see how popular and well-known he is in USA.Nice to see Gary Cherone ( extreme, Van Halen) with Sammy "rock n roll".U will find all the videos on the second dvd, the funny "sing with Sammy" a sort of Karaoke ( first time i see that on dvd), discography , the vault (very old documents, original lyrics that u can read etc....). A very complete dvd and very original.
Savatage - live in Rio 1998 : It's not a pro show but a mix of cams ( well done), the sound is a bootleg sound and will satisfy all the diehards but for the others, no need to get this show.It could be really good !
Saxon-The saxon chronicles (2003) : I bought this double dvd's set because the digipack ( booklet of 52 pages) is beautiful, it's a really a good job. For the the show gave in 2001 at the famous Wacken Open Air ( 97 mn), nothing to say, many big light spots ( with the eagle at the top of the stage). The image is "grained" but the show has been filmed with many cameras for a good result. U have a nice intervew of Biff ( with french subtitle....just know that Biff lives now in north of France), discography, many videos ( but not really exciting), TV apperances, homevideo.......So many things....more than thre hours.
Saxon: Live Innocence & more ( 2003) : Full dvd for the band of Saxon. Indeed, u can see the "live innocence" concert from 1986 with a reworked image and a show quiet pleasant. Nice to remenber the "eagle" full of lights....like the "bomber" of motorhead. The second party called " Antholgy" show u all the videos of Saxon. First point, the quality to remaster the videos is appreciable. The second point, is the quality of the script....hum....How to say ! Very hard to look at them, very old and borring....deadly boriing, except for the "Broken heroes". But if u like old heavy metal style, u will like this dvd...but for the new generation......i don't think so !!!
Scorpions : I prefer this dvd to "acoustica". The sound & image very good.Bonus with interview. Great moment on "we 'll burn the sky" and "still loving u".U have some guest for duos with Klaus...two news songs and one medley" "crossfire, he's a woman , dynamite".....one more for collection.....PS: U won't see the "pyramide" ...not the good dvd!
Scorpions : Great dvd for a Live in 1991 (Berlain, germany). Very good multi cameras concert with nice decor and oiginl set list "Hit betwen the eyes", ""I can't explain", "Crazy world", "Lust or live". U have a second part with 10 videos such as "Believe inlove" nice video in Russia , means a lot for Scorpions. U have also bonus videos in this edition: "alien nation", "i am leaving u", " holiday" "noone like u"; To resume: one more dvd to buy.
Scorpions : Big set list for this show ( 21 songs); Good image & sound, but it's just an audio show. The camera moves too much sometimes or focus too much on rudolph or Klaus Mein. Nonetheless, this is a good bootleg. U have a second party with 3 songs & interview from Wacken 2006. Very good show and u can see Uli john Roth on "speedy's coming". The wacken's show looks excellent. So to sum up, u can have this bootleg in ur collection.
Scorpions - live in Russia Tatarztan area : One more live from German's Scorpions. Here, it's in Kazan in 2005 , a city at two hours by plane from Moscow.A show by russian TV at ice arena with an orchestra.very nice concert witha good image and a nice sound which could be better. But u have nice set list "we burn the sky" "big city night" and for Russia, of course, "wind of change". The orchestra is good and don't take too much room. The dvd has no menu and begins with interview of Scorpions by russian TV. Fans will be happy.
Scorpions -Live in Tokyo 1979 : Have this dvd from 1979 is a must for a collection.I don't know if something before exist?
Scorpions- : that's a brazilian's edition. The less interesting dvd from Scorpions.....Not a full concert, just a compil'
Scorpions- : An acoustic live dvd caled "Acoustica" (of course). Recorded in Portugese with 12 cameras. U have more than 20 songs, that's a set list. Mostly of the set are ballads , more than half. I prefer studio versus but it's interesting,Except for electric'one "Rock u like an hurricane" rebaptize "Hurricane 2001" or "Wind of change". U have cover of The Cars" drive" and " Love of my life" ( but i prefer the original, suit more to Freddy's voice). A dvd to discover !
